Wine Tasting Table

See. Swirl. Smell. Sip. Savor … Sell!
Engage your prospects with the 5 S’s of wine tasting demonstrations for your own “6th S”: Sell!

Follow the 6 S’s of Wine Sampling Sales:

See. Have visitors look at the wine (holding it up to the light if the glass is clear). Ask them to check for color and clarity – and any specific nuances of the particular wine.
Swirl. Even if serving in tiny plastic cups, tell the visitor swirl the wine. Besides releasing the flavor and bouquet of the wine, it’s fun! And sure to bring a smile.
Smell. Say – “Wait, don’t taste it yet! …. First inhale the aroma.” Ask what they detect (and commend them on any they get right!). Then graciously identify the prominent flavors, asking “Can you smell the …”
Sip. “Now take a sip. Just a small sip. Roll it on your tongue to get all the flavors. Are your tasting the essence your nose detected? Is it .. fruity, woodsy, dry, sweet?”
Savor. Though the tasting glass is probably small, tell your visitor to savor the rest, enjoying what they learned about the wine. Then …
Sell! Hold out a bottle of the wine with a smile, almost daring them to take it from you. If the presented wine wasn’t a favorite, ask what they liked or didn’t like about it and offer another of your brand’s varietal that fits their tastes.

In-store demonstrations and tastings are statistically proven to increase sales, and the more knowledgeable and compelling your staff, the longer you will keep prospects at the demo table and the greater your chance of increasing sales.

With Aisle Advertising’s easy-set, professional demo stations and kiosks, your representatives can focus on the method instead of the means.
